EarthColor

EarthColor, Inc., the largest privately owned commercial printer in the New York Metropolitan area, provides leading-edge printing, finishing and fulfillment services. Our engineering staff created a custom application that lets EarthColor and their clients prepare and order printed retirement plan documents through a secure Web interface. Working with EarthColor's own IT staff, we created a system that streamlines a major segment of the print production workflow:

EarthColor administrators can create document templates with no technical knowledge, by specifying the data that goes into each section.

• The client can log on and fill in the required data to create a customized document.
• The client can generate a PDF preview on the fly, to see how the finished document will look. The client may then revise the document as needed.
• When the document is complete, the client can submit an order, which goes directly to EarthColor's production department.
• Clients can take advantage of fully automated invoicing: when a job is complete, billing information is sent directly to the client's billing system via XML.
